Visiting our Sites
The following inpatient unit is currently in a C. difficile outbreak situation:

Visitors are limited to 2 per patient. To help prevent the spread of infection, visitors are required to follow isolation instructions, including wearing gown and gloves in patient rooms identified with infection control signage. Click here for details about C. difficile. Hand washing is key to preventing the spread of infection inside and outside the hospital. Wash hands frequently with soap and water, and use alcohol-based hand rubs, located throughout the hospital.

Visiting Hours
Two visitors per patient are permitted. Visiting on the following inpatient units is between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., daily:
- Medical
- Surgical
- Mental Health
- Obstetrics – Also provides open visiting hours for spouse/partner
- Paediatrics – Also provides open visiting hours for parents
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Open visiting hours for immediate family. No visiting is allowed between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to provide rest period for patients.
On Complex Continuing Care Units, Extended Care Unit and Rehabilitation Units, visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
One family member/significant other may remain with a patient in the Emergency Department.
Children (siblings) must be accompanied/supervised by an adult and are considered one of the two visitors per patient.
Visitors are asked to comply with a health care provider's request to leave the room to permit provision of care and/or privacy.
Visitors must not visit if they are feeling unwell or have any contagious illness (i.e. respiratory infection, influenza, etc).
Special considerations will be made for critical or palliative patients and for compassionate reasons
